The MEC is beginning her programme by participating in a Community Budget Dialogue, where residents and stakeholders have an opportunity to engage directly with government and contribute towards the department's upcoming provincial budget. The dialogue forms part of the department's commitment to ensuring that communities have a meaningful voice in shaping government priorities and that the budget continues to respond to the needs and aspirations of the people.

The MEC is thereafter travelling to eMahhashini in the Nongoma Local Municipality to visit the family of a 64-year-old woman who was tragically killed, allegedly by her son.
