In this episode, we bring you the opening remarks from the MUT Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nokuthula Sibiya, setting the tone for a day dedicated to deepening the culture of engagement in higher education.
This is followed by the keynote address for Session One, delivered by Professor Joseph Francis from the University of Venda, who offers powerful insights into the evolving landscape of community-engaged scholarship.
We then move into a dynamic panel discussion exploring a critical question: Why does the Scholarship of Engagement struggle to gain full academic recognition, and what can be done to change this?

The panel featured thought leaders in the field, including:

Prof Magnate Ntombela (MANCOSA)
